Historic International Event a First in Iowa – Tonight Brazil vs Iowa Demon Hawks
(Des Moines, IA) The Brazilian National Mini Football Team is set to participate in a series of international friendly matches, starting with a clash against the Iowa Demon Hawks on August 24th at the HyVee Hall in Des Moines, Iowa. This event marks the beginning of the team's endeavors to establish a strong presence in the United States.
Mayor Boesen will be on hand at the �irst game to welcome the Brazilian National Team to their new US home, Des Moines, Iowa and to congratulate the Iowa Demon Hawks on their 2024 National MASL2 Championship season – undefeated with a record-breaking 184 goals.
Adding to the excitement, Iowa will serve as the home base for the Brazilian National Team's training efforts in preparation for the upcoming Mini Football World Cup and Copa América. This choice highlights the state's growing reputation as a hub for international sports.
Five players from the Iowa Demon Hawks have been selected to play for the Brazilian National Team, reflecting the high caliber of talent within the local team and strengthening the connection between Iowa and Brazil in the world of soccer.
Following this series kick-off, the Brazilian team will face off against the Mexican National Team on September 20, and the series will conclude with a highly anticipated game against Team USA on October 5.
